What size of parasol to choose?

Choose the canopy size based on the area you want to shade and its shape:

• square 4×4, 5×5 and 6×6 m – for compact terraces and patios,
• rectangular 3×4, 4×5 and 5×6 m – over long tables and rows of tables,
• Dual structures (3×6 and 3.5×7 m) and Poker/Double (up to 7×7 m) – when one canopy is not enough but you want to keep a single base,
• Quattro (6×6 m) – four canopies on a shared support, each with a gas spring and closing above the furniture.

Structure and stability

The larger the canopy, the more important the rigidity of the structure and the right base become. Large Scolaro models have reinforced poles – e.g. Verona 80 mm, Leonardo Braccio 92×92 mm – and the telescopic Capri parasol shades very large areas while taking up minimal space.

The base and ballast are chosen according to the parasol size and installation site – concrete slabs, bases on wheels or ground anchoring. You will find details in the Accessories and bases section, and we will help you choose when preparing the quote.

For gardens and for commercial venues

Large parasols are chosen by restaurants, hotels and beach clubs as well as by owners of large private terraces. The 4×4 m Galileo Maxi with a side post works well over a lounge area by the house, while Capri, Quattro or Poker are ideal where several dozen square metres need shading at once.
